The Wings are Red.

Trav: I remember when Josh first showed ma pair of navy blue suede Red Wings customly made by Adrain. My first thought was, “damn these are dope”. My second thought was, “damn, a cool grey suede pair would be even more ridiculous”. Well it looks like my prayers have been answered. Designer Ronnie Fieg, of NY’s David Z, hooked up with Red Wing to create this absolute master piece. It’s the classic work boot model in an ashy grey color scheme. These are extremely limited, only 60 pairs made with a $250 price tag. I’m tempted to pull the trigger on these but it is the holidays and they say it’s better to give than to receive, so if there is anyone that wants to give me these for Christmas, I will gladly accept them with open arms.

There has been a lot of sudden Red Wing hype on the forums and what not. It took awhile for this “hype” to set in though; Red Wing has been out for ages. Coincidentally enough, I happened to wear my Lumberjack Red Wings today. So why dont I just add to the hype and post the fit i wore today.

Tom Ford Spring / Summer 2009

JKISSI : That time comes when your suits get too small and your shoes get worn out you know you need a new suit. Myself and Trav have been looking into purchasing some slim fitting suits. I think everyone needs at least one good perfect fitting suit. Tom Ford, the famous American Designer  gives us a preview of his Spring / / Summer 2009 line which looks absolutely  plush. Tom Ford is one of the best dressed guys on my list. I dont know how anyone can deny the fitting of the suits combined with the color schemes that just jump out at you. Shout out to Ollie Danger, Witts and the whole BNTL crew in the U.K

JKISSI : HYR releases another Issue to the public to read. For everyone reading our blog daily  I greatly encourage you to actually take out the time to read this. I know it’s a flash site and some of you guys might be too “finger lazy” to navigate the site , but it’s some really interesting reads on the site. It just doesn’t stop at “features” the online magazine features even more for you to take away.

Hyr caters to all for the sneaker heads they have the section called the sneaker diary where this issue guest Dustin Williams talks about his love for kicks.

To see - Columns > Click on (shoes) Sneaker Diaries : Dustin Williams

Ryan elaborates on what gear he wants to purchase, some real good looks included.

To see - click Columns - > (product) I want that

One of my favorites of this issue are the Boots post , all different kinds of boots for different preferences. This winter I’ve pretty much got back my love for boots I once had, when I use to rock Goretex and Vasquez before, those were the days.

To see -  Click feature - > (fashion) The  Bootdown

Last but not least is the music review done by Jake Davis on Kanye West’s lastest album 808’s and Heartbreaks which seems to catch either heat or love , no in between.

A NewYork Minute

Trav: Its crazy how fast things move in the city that never sleeps. I was just going through my camera when i found something quite interesting. It started a late Friday night on my way home from work, i was messing with the settings on my cam and intentionally taking useless practice shots. I really had no idea what was happening until now. These pics were taken in no more than two minutes. The shots below are placed exactly how the occurred from beginning to end.

Basically.. the there’s no one on the platform/ the train comes/people get off/ people sit down/ another train comes/ the people get on/ the train leaves/ the platform is empty again.

Largest Zara store in NYC

JKISSI : Word is out that Zara the fashion retailer from Spain has opened it’s largest store in New York. I really like what Zara is doing acknowledging H&M has about 100 stores in New York, or at least it feels that way. I would put their pieces above H&M anyway, but that also comes with the price I guess because it is a tad bit more expensive.

WWD : NEW YORK — Zara’s new flagship at 500 Fifth Avenue has something that’s rarely been seen in the fast-fashion chain’s locations: a security sensor attached to a $1,099 mink-colored leather coat. The three-level, 12,000-square-foot unit represents a new prototype featuring materials and decor that project a more upscale vibe. It’s also the Spanish retailer’s biggest store in Manhattan and offers the largest assortment of men’s, women’s and children’s apparel of any of its New York units.

Unlike the shiny white stores of an earlier incarnation, Zara’s Fifth Avenue flagship is darker and moodier.

I took a pic a couple weeks ago before it opened…

Flash And Prime All Mine

Trav: Picked up the best early Christmas present a couple days ago. Some guy sold me the Nikon SB-600 flash with a nikkor 50mm 1.8 lens for ridiculously cheap, i had to jump on it. I cant believe how much of a difference the flash makes. The prime lens makes all the difference in the world also,  pics are crazy sharp. I should have brought this setup along time ago. Expect some daily snaps sooner than later.

Rugby 2008 Holiday Collection

Trav : Rugby recently released their Holiday line. The RL team once again does not disappoint. Nothing but dopeness for the eyes. If you really think about it, the whole concept that Rugby plays on can easily come across as corny but they pull it off extremely well. The video below is a masterpiece, love the raw classic feel.
