Trav: Today we were fortunate enough to make it to The Pop Up Flea presented by A Continous Lean and Urban Daddy , two very successful sites. There were a couple of very interesting brands at the show. Billy Kirk, 3sixteen, Hattan New York and Gitman Brothers were just some of the few brands in attendance. I didn’t know much about Billy Kirk prior to this event but after gaining some knowledge from the man Kirk himself, I strongly recommend you guys to look into them for some premium leather goods and accessories. It is always a pleasure meeting and conversing with Andrew, one half of the minds behind 3sixteen. Keep an eye out for those Deck Chukkas due to drop very soon. My eyes are open. Gitman Brothers, the Master Shirt Makers had a few impressive pieces on display; they actually just did a collab with h(y)r collective that resulted in some insane oxford shirts. It was a very good event altogether. Stay tuned for upcoming related news.

JKISSI: The overall experience of visiting this event was awesome in its entirety. The minds behind this event Michael Williams and Randy Goldberg selected the perfect location to provide shoppers with such good products from vintage finds to well established brands. It’s simply amazing to see how the influence of the Internet can bring these kinds of events to life. The two discussed on how they were thinking of opening a store together, but settled on the idea of organizing the pop up flea at the end. I would have to agree with them on that decision; the event was well worth it. “This is a menswear goldmine!” stated one guy we met at the Pop Up Flea after stumbling upon the show from walking around the area. There is nothing like discussing a brand with people who are actually apart of the team and process. Talking to the individuals behind some of these brands, and their journey to where they are now just gives us more inspiration and hope for the future. I just want to say it was really a pleasure meeting everyone at this event, and wish we could cover each brand there. If you missed this Pop Flea there is no need to pull out your hair there are talks of it taking place in California, and NYC again in the fall. Stay tuned.

Even as a woman, I look at the basket of men’s shoes and can’t help but want to slip my feet in that top pair. They’re beautiful.

There’s something so wholly different in the aesthetics of a place to buy men’s clothes over women’s clothes. I have to admit to being jealous– this place looks spectacular.

Well done fellas. Good meeting you both. Kirk and I were very impressed that, at such a young age, you are both so focused and dedicated. Your passion for style and all that surrounds it is contagious. Keep up the good work and all the best as you climb your way to the top.

Great job fellas. I’m a little tight Hattan doesn’t make products to fit my large head lol. And I’m certainly digging where 3sixteen is going…and after rocking those Peanut Grizzlies for the first time last week, I’m making every plan to wear them 80% of the time this fall. And great photos as always.

Jerel : Thanks man yes I have to agree with you on that and encourage you check out their collection man. Billy Kirk are one of the most humble people who I have met thus far. They fulfill the void in mens accessories and even more man you already know how men are limited to accessories to improvise with. Just check them out should get some products from them becaue I know I will.

Willy Cheesesteak : Man I know you live in L.E.S so it would have been no hassle to just pass through to this 3 day event. Telling you it was worth it , it caught me a bad time with my funds so I was just mad at the fact that I wanted so much! , but didnt have enough for everything.

Stevezep666 : Man, my bad we were chilling with Andrew at the moment and I’m like damn where is stevee. Thats when I called you man lol . It’s partially my fault I lodged my phone in my bag the rest of the day too. Net time def!

Asche Mischeif : Like my friend jfkjean said it could work out pretty well for you. I have to agree with him I have seen some women pull it off real good lol surprisingly. I should have told you I know you are in the NYC area definitely next time!

Chris: Man it was great speaking to you and Kirk , really some great words that we will take with us on our journey. We talked about how you guys were so humble even though you are well established and all.I know we will bump into each other again. We will keep in touch!

JFK Jean : You already know we appreciate your support on the site man keep doing some good things with yours like I told you on twitter def a site to watch people!

Andrew : You already know its nothing for us to return the favor man always in to support you guys at 3sixteen. Yes we have to get the chinese food in man, some basketball too lol! Btw must say the deck chukkas are something people need to look for

Najee D : Thanks man like I said to Andrew these are def one the top shoes that are dropping this year, and next you made a great choice man. I checked out your site and heard of you guys from BKC , good stuff guys that was a very interesting interview your dad did with Michael Jackson. Very small world lol and interesting.

Jeremy : Thanks man yeah tried to incorporate that shirt in a different way. I could of worn it untucked but I dont think it would of have the same effect.

Ian : No problem man the Hattan hats were definitely something that caught my eye from when I first walked in the event. The red chambray and blue one pictured in the post really do it for me man. We will keep in touch man keep up the good work.

Hadi : Trav will def answer you with that question I don’t know too much about the loafers

Mush: Alright man will follow you and thanks

Reggie : Thanks man let us know we both work in the city we could some how set something up for a day or so kick it a little , you been on this site from the start man really appreciate that

JP : We forgive you lol, Big fan of your blog man so those words coming from you means a lot to us man. One of the more better menswear sites I like to visit with ACL and Jake Davis keep it up. Definitely will return the roll.

    Mike: wow ..thanks alot man

Hadi: yes they are the raf perry loafers. They are the ones that came out in the spring, the navy blue ones. Although wen the sun hits it does give a little tourquiose tint which is pretty cool.

Greenjeans: yeh man i hope to see you at the capsule show. And for the sleeve steez i really dont mind people doing it. Inspiration is key.

Joseph A: Man we are heavy blog readers ourselves, most events we attend we hear about from other blogs or people that we know.

Lendo: Thanks a lot man. Yeh the city is just full of inspirational people that recieves and give lots of love.

Jeremy: thank Josh for that pic. I love it too!

    Fem:
comments like that always make me smile :) . Thanks a lot.

Raymond Taite: Im kicking myself now because im pretty sure i had the card and info on the company but cant seem to find it right now. But it was a knitting company based out of Ohio i think and those sweaters where some of their complete deadstock editions of sweaters and polos that the company knitted from like the 1940s on. Some really dope pieces, It was justhard for me to find my size in these crazy unique polos that they had. everything was very precisely cut for men who lived in those eras and it just so happened that a lot of men wore very high waisted pants so alot of the perices were very short. Ill give more info once i find the card.

James: As mentioned before they are the Raf Simons X Fred Perry Tassel Moc Shoe. I got them at Opening Ceromony.

Yves: Thanks, its just a grey light cooton and linen shirt that i got from Uniqlo.

sQuincy: thanks for your constant love and support man. really appreciate it.

Mr.St.Aubin : Lol @ Guts, but yeah again Uniqlo T-000 Khakis cost about $49.50 the best quality seems to last for ever. In our Bkc X SE post trav has on the darker version of the khakis and in this post I have the lighter version which was released first than the darker ones that trav had on. To find them .. I’ll stop by Uniqlo on my lunch break to see if they’re there. As far as I know they only have the real bright colors left like red/orange/purple/green andI haven’t seen the khaki for some time. try ebay .

If you want I have topman khakis in the same exact color and fit in a 32 X 32 will post pictures if your interested.

I’ve seen coverage of this event elsewhere but none have left me drooling over my keyboard like you guys just have! I totally feel left out here in London. The Pop Up Flea looks so slick ( I guess I should expect nothing less from ACL and Urban Daddy), anything similar here in London looks a total mess.

Darryl : It’s from Banana Republic from about one year ago got it for like $60 on sale , it would be very difficult to find right now to be honest. Check out ebay, and their site and maybe you can find one that looks close to it because they came out with like a trio of bags in same pattern/style.
