JKISSI : For those that are unaware what the acronyms “BKc” stands for it refers to The Brooklyn Circus. The borough of Brooklyn has become the place to be whether your a student, aspiring artist , or just seeking a new place to call home. There is a first time for everything , and we ultimately decided to change this post up from the others. This is the first post ever where you will receive the perspective of both myself and Trav. The BKc ran by owner Ouigi (The Bearded Man) , and the circus family has been on the forefront of best retail places to visit if you are in New York City. The Brooklyn Circus is no stranger to this site I have been following this brand since 2005 , and I must say the progress they have made still amazes me to this day. We headed over to Brooklyn to take part in their portrait book project shot by well noted photographer John Midgley. The atmosphere was amicable not only does Bkc create fantastic clothing, but they’re also accompanied by a earnest following from Brooklyn to the world. You can ask anyone who lives in Brooklyn, and they should know about the Brooklyn Circus. Experience is truly everything because I had a great time with these guys.

This image below is not apart of the portrait book, it was actually shot with my camera by Ouigi. He came up with the idea to get us on the fire escape sparatically. Risking our lives for that perfect shot!

The man behind the Brooklyn Circus Ouigi Theodore (the bearded man) a guy with a vision that is simply inspiring to all. This time around we had the chance to sit down and discuss far more than the first time.

” The story is set out to unfold through 100 years, we are in no rush for overnight success. This is a process and we are all processing it all, one day at a time.” – Ouigi

Trav: It is truly a site to see so many young brothers sharply presented and doing something positive. There was nothing but inspiration and love being spread throughout the day. The joy you see in the pictures is exactly how the entire day went. The chemistry within the BKc family is incredible, these guys love and live what they do. I find a lot of my my knowledge and inspiration from sources like books, pictures and videos but when a primary source of inspiration is right in front of you, it makes the process that much more astonishing. The fact that these guys came from the urban, sneaker/street wear scene and greatly evolved into what they are now is something we can definitely relate to. We are just on a different page of the same book that is surely to go down in history. What they are doing is something we will surely seek to do on our side of the world.

I wish I had a group of brothers with this fly style to associate with. Here in North Carolina it is hard enough to find a guy with style. To find a company of them is unheard with. Congrats on doing your thing! Your brown jacket: dinner jacket or corduroy? I’ve been reading for a while, but never commented- Great Stuff here. I get the weirdest look going sockless here. I am the only guy pulling it off that I can see at least! THIS exact post keeps me encouraged to continue doing me. Thanks!

Wow, the first shot is amazing. Great photos, I kinda love how the even brightest colours are toned down by a sepia kind of effect. Keep it up:)

Big ups to Josh and Trav, two of the freshest/talented/humble cats I’ve ever met. Do not sleep on these guys. It is almost impossible to follow their blog and not be fresh yourself. Pleasure meeting you both and I look forward to seeing you guys very soon. You have a brother in San Francisco. Continue to inspire…

Nice shots my friends. I really feel the first pic. greatness. Hopefully more will come down the road.

As far as BKC goes, they really made the right steps at the right time. I can feel the evolution from a sneaker related brand/store to a high fashion thing. The latest projects are just dope.

Love all the comments guys! wow

Reggie, I agree with you man 100 % their style is unique to their style man you should check it out when you come to NYC.

Steve, We’re trying man you remember when we had the talk at KATZ or whatever definitely trying to make some big moves this summer. Stay tuned you wont be a stranger to the action :D

Deeperthanfashion, I’m glad we put you onto the Brooklyn Circus man you should of known about them from a long time ago. It’s not too late though you came at the right time to support the movement. Yeah, a lot of people say that though brothers dressing like above pictured is amazing , it still shocks me lol.

Kai, Hey Kai it was def nice meeting you also you guys looked like you had some very nice shots, we will definitely see you later. Saying you had a bad day lol big lie.

Joseph , yeah man that could surely happen man hit me up man

James, you should start it then be the leader and just get some peopel you are cool with. You should explain everything to them inspiration wise of why you want to do it , it only takes one person to make a change just get some people you feelthe same as you. You could go far it possibly doing something big man dont belittle yourself just because your in the South I definitely understand that, but not as vivid as you because I have never been there. Thats my advice to you though man.

More respones from me and trav soon fellas love the comments
