Coldsun, Yes man I think you really need to read and view this. I think the stories you could pass on as long as you read it once because it starts to get too gritty and such for everyday use lol. Atleast for me lol

Kadeem J, Thanks man we share similar interest we both from the Bronx we got to link up one of these days and shoot some stuff my brother. Sounds good I hear of it somewhere I know of Jamel Shabazz in general guess I missed out on that one. Bronx Museum is pretty cool we did a post on there recently doesnt get a lot of promotion and air time. Thanks for the props man like i said we need to touch base man.

You should also check out SECONDS OF MY LIFE by Jamel Shabazz. It has photos that he has taken from 1980-2007. He is one of my favorite photographers. He had an exhibition up last summer at the Bronx Museum it was pretty cool.

Reggie, yeah kind of maybe it would be photojournalism for himself nothing to report to the media or any sort. shoud pick the book up.

FredX, Yeah it probably took some time and chilling with these individuals before he was just given this type of access to go into their homes and shoot things. It’s pretty amazing in my opinion because even today you still can’t go into any neighorbood without knowing someone or people.

MOB, lol thanks for the props on the outfit i was just there reading/viewing the book tryingto relax lol.

Santo , appreciate it man funny you said that I mean people like fashion as I do , but I like ‘art’ in general so anything that interests me I will respond to in either a negative/positive way or w.e I’m happy as long as people comment no big deal though.

Ed, You hit it right on the head man Juice,Fresh,Strapped are definitely some of my favorite movies. I love NYC too much you could ust tell by what and how we blog , I would love to see other places of course , but NYC always have a special place in my heart especially growing up here. great post josh…its like we share almost the same view point man, i love new york’s gritty grimey imagery…i love watching movies like Fresh, Strapped and Juice because of this. Especially photos of New York’s hoods in the early ’90s. I feel like i appreciate it more bcuz i was raised in n.y and have lived down south, now im back in n.y. That kind of imagery is why i love nas’ it aint hard to tell video or gangstarr’s mass appeal video, btw kid i said wat up at topman ( i was the light skinned wit the black windbreaker) and like i told u down there, keep up the good posts, lol…
