Journey Of The Tailor : Stanton Tailor Shop

JKISSI :  As some of you may know we were on the journey for the best tailor we could find.  We discussed previously on how a good tailor on your side was a necessity to anyone especially if you find yourself divulged in “fashion”. If you guys remember Trav posted the first edition of this when tailoring his A.P.C Petite Standards to his liking. I found myself needing a tailor after I purchased a vintage Levis jean jacket . The color of the jacket was perfect, but some of you may know I have others so I decided to turn this one into a vest. The decision of chopping off the sleeves only brought to mind of going to a good tailor. Staton Tailor Shop recommended once by Andrew Chen, he even blogged about it on 3sixteen’s blog

The tailor Pablo answered all my questions even though I didn’t have the item at hand.  The guy had a humorous personality welcoming his customers to the store, which is important to me. I dislike with a passion bad service where tailors are cold to their customers who are ultimately keeping you in business. The relationship between one and their tailor is suppose to be one of understanding, reliance, friendship and that’s what I felt here.  A line outside the shop awaits , I was pretty surprised at the amount of people who go to Pablo for alterations. The turn around time for my jacket was amazing as he encouraged me to stand there and witness him do the whole process. Impressed by my visit this will be my next destination to tailor a suit, interested to see how that unfolds.
