Ranks of the Best Denim ( APC N.C Update ) General Style 23 Comments

JKISSI : Everyone is constantly looking for the best denim jeans they can purchase, well Men.Style.com is here to help you out a bit in your decision making.  We receive constant emails about my A.P.C new cures and the current state of  their wear and evolution. It seems by word of mouth it has spread to the point where everyone on the Internet knows the tragic situation concerning my jeans. (lol) It has all passed  and I’m working on a new pair as we speak, but before purchasing this pair I gave Dior MIJ jeans a quick thought. It was ultimately over ruled because of the price I was getting with the APC exchange discount, but who knows maybe this summer I’ll look at the Dior Black MIJ.

Brands pictured –  ( Uniqlo, BR,  APC , Clarks )

Men.Style.com ranking has been going on for some time now judging denim based on durability, design and detail.  I would possibly add one more category which is price point because you could pay a stack for denim that doesn’t suit you the way you want it to. The brands involved range from Levis to Dior, even the GAP is included on the list surprisingly. Personally, I think the list is pretty accurate on the placement of denim  ranked except for Jean Shop Rocker being on top of Levis 501 which is a classic.  To see the full list CLICK HERE

#1 – A.P.C New Standards

#2  - Jean Shop Rocker

#3 – Levis 501

#4 – Dior Homme

#5 – RRL Slim Fit

How would you rank your own list ?

Same Squincy I never really use to comment on here , but now I feel more open to just type comments to you guys posts. Which are wonderful and unique from other blogs I visit who seem to recycle the same content about Kanye Pharrell and other celebs wearing stuff. Or people who just stela from other blogs. I love this one provides good information from two actual fashionable individuals.

I need a late pass on this one – been browsing this site, new and old posts, this morning. Figured I’d chirp in regarding the jeans.

I’d definitely rate New Standards as my No. 1, but more recently I like the ‘Hipster’ cut – which are baggier in the thighs and slimmer at the shins. Perfect.

One pair of New Standards I’ve had , I haven’t washed for 2 years. I advise anyone to do this. Break in a pair of Standards (or hipsters) and just go wild with them. I’m not saying let them get grimey, but don’t wash or dry clean them for as long as you can stand it. The ink will bleed and crease in all of the right places

My No. 2 are the RB 15′s. I’d almost rate these as my No.1′s except for the price. APCs are a lot more moderately priced than the RB15s

and my No. 3 are the Uniqlo Salvage they were offering last year for $39.99.

Really late, but without a doubt, I’d have to disagree on the rocker denim being worse than the 501′s. Classic of course, but when it comes down to the brass tax, my twill’s and indigo rockers have now lasted me years as opposed to the 501′s I have.

Of course, the silhouette I get from the rockers is better as well. But the obvious factor that plays into the 501′s being an overall better buy for most people is the price.

I’ve never worn anything but levis and js, I might start trying a.p.c. out.

Great site here, and thanks for putting me on to clarks once again.

    i couldnt believe it….

My Zara Slim Fit Jeans @ $39.00.. have become my favorite jeans….

They fit me perfectly… i couldnt believe it.. and am still surprised how comfortable the jeans are…

they are light not to heavy, low-mid rise, dark blue with brown stitching…..

you should look in them… and no stupid design work on the back pockets…

i think for the price, you cant beat it..

i just wish they had more colors… maybe black… that would be awesome…

Really nice look man. I’m new to raws and went to try the NS and PS a couple of days ago. Yours fit so nicely. Not baggy and not too skinny, more like a slim fit. I tried on the PS and it was hugging skinny; grappling at my legs, making it look tiny. I tried on the NS and felt that it was a little too baggy. Do you recommend the cures as a sort of slim fit?

Have something to say?
