Trav: About two years ago, i was skimming through an issue of GQ magazine when this one particular article caught my attention. It was an article discussing the importance on having your own tailor. The writer basically explained how important it is to achieve the right fit and how getting your items tailored quickly becomes an addiction. Those of you who have fell into this spell know exactly what this guy was talking about. I have recently become obsessed with the whole tailoring thing. Its just amazing, turning poorly fitted items into sculptured works of art. The key is in finding a good tailor. For me, choosing a tailor is just as important as choosing a barber. Someone who is reliable, knows what you want, does what you want and understands you, is all things to be taken into consideration. You should be able to build a relationship with that person.
With all that said, both me and Josh are in search of a tailor. I have been to a couple and so has he. However, we have never been to the same one. My experience so far has not been bad. Wish i could say the same for Josh, I’m sure many of you remember his beautifully faded A.P.C.s ruined by the hands of a novice.
We will try to keep you guys posted with reviews and hopefully some before and after pics as we embark on the journey of the tailor. All recommendations gladly accepted.

I feel like a good tailor is an neccesity these days. Especially the days of buying vintage clothing and such sometimes you need to alter it a little bit to make you fit perfectly.

Everyone does indeed need a good tailor. Whoever’s right for someone else may not be right for you…. I go to one person and one person only for my alterations – Pablo. http://3sixteen.com/_blog/2008/06/24/stanton-tailor/

Andrew , your tailor looks very good I will have to test that location out one of these days. I go to Hong Kong La Ruckico who has been tailoring my clothes for quite some time it gets really expensive though. It is located on 152 E 48th Street , if Joshua and Travis want to give it a try. Tell them Tony sent you.
