JKISSI : Not having a pair of raw denim jeans in rotation is similar to hell to me. If you are unaware what happened to my other pair of new cures click here. I would’ve just went and bought some but I’m very picky on the way jeans fit me and New Cures always seem to fit my expectations. I did do the butler discount at the store which gives you 50% off a new pair, they gladly took my worn pair. It’s a recession paying $250.00+ on denim right now isn’t a priority for me, maybe next year. I went with my previous size without trying them on and when I got home I was disappointed with the fit . Of course I went back, sized down 1 and now they’re perfect, I’m done talking about this now, I’m just happy I got them. Update on wear in 6 months to 12 months.

Thanks only cure , They dont need to be crazy worn , but they have to have some wear in them they cant feel rigid and still having the dark blue color and all. You could take a look at mine it wasnt faded out to the max , but it was worn in good.

You should ask about it in L.A store , Im leaning toward I think you can do it, why only NYC you know.

Hey amn they look real nice but i was wondering if I should get the new cures or new standards. I’m 6’2″ 170lbs so you can get an idea.
I’m about 6’1 and 153-5 .. I like my stuff skinny fit so I went with the new cures. If you like skinny fit jeans go with new cures or new standards if you like the more looser fit. Also APC has the new petite standards which are like the middle of the two. Not too tight , but not too loose.
Thanks man! I’ll need to try these on when i get the chance cuz i heard they stretch a lot. Idk if i should size down 1 or 2 because i dont want them to be skin tight.
If you want some skin tight fit you size down 3
Size down 2 for a fitted slim fit
Size down 3 for a more looser fit , but your right they do stretch out quite a bit depends.. it wont stretch out to the point where you feel uncomfortable. The thing is when you are first buying them and trying them on dont think about the comfort level right then and there. Like sometimes you may have some difficulty trying to button it up or it feels a little bit tightt, just wear them in for like 2 weeks and you should just be fine. For example when I first got mine they were tight like i like them on me but after a few days after the stretching it began to feel a little loose beyond my liking so i took it down and sized down one more. The fit on the 29 new cures were tight but as days went on it kind of conformed to my body and I love the fit i have right now.
Ight man thanks! You were a great help. It looks like i’ll size down 2 because i want it close to my skin but loose enough to allow a little stacking at the knees and ankle like you have it.

Quick question – I size 2 down for New Standards for the ‘fitted slim fit’. What should I do for the Petit Standards? I want slim but not skin tight.

Tom Crown : Oh wow pulled out a old post lol really backtracking I like to see that though.
For the Petit Standards I recommend you to size don 2 or 1 depending becaue since they are a more slim cut it will strectch a bit more than the New Standards so you have to put that into consideration. So ultimately yeah I would size down 2 because of the stretching and all !

Do you know if the “butler discount” is still going? Do you have to buy your jeans at APC to qualify? I just bought mine a few weeks ago at a boutique in Boston but I want to go to up to Rescue from NS. I don’t think I can return them now, so I was going to try to beat them up and return for 50% off.
