JKISSI : The days are getting closer and closer until the first Topman location opens up on Broadway in soho. From the site we see the prices will be the same as UK prices converted into US currency, many of us hoped that wouldn’t happen but it’s not too bad to me. I’d shed out the right amount of cash if the piece is worth it quality wise and I have to really like it. I’ve already seen some stuff I like mainly in the jackets, and the Black Trouser Project, but everything else is pretty much a passy by for me.

What do you think of Topman?

Thanks for posting this.
nice .. couple weeks closer to opening
Looks pretty cool. Too bad they kept the prices the same..In england spending 100 pounds on some shoes is normal..in America spending 200 on some isnt. so much..
nothing special
@cezar:
agreed but well have to wait for the winter stuff to drop
samething im thinking .. im trying to see the full line .. this is just fall stuff ..
Topman’s quality is not competitive at this price range. Sure the plimsoles, slouch beanies, and basics are appealing, but they’re just not worth that much money. Zara does the same shit in Soho, and costs like 3 times what it does in Central and South America.
Basically I don’t think any of their “smarter” pieces will do well. This isn’t London and young Americans almost never have to meet a stringent dress code.
thanks for that Camthrax man.. alot of info there.. and that is def true about Zara in soho
it’s a shame there are keeping the prices the same as in england, it does seem abit unfair seeing that you guys can get a pair of converse for like $30 but a pair of topman pumps are $50ish. i feel it’s a bad decision to do that on their half.
the winter stuff is always much better by the way, they do a lot of interesting collaborations too so look out for online exclusives etc.
